Jonathan’s Story

Jonathan – Jonny to his family – Jon to his friends - lived a full and amazing life, and was loved by the Employees of our Company.

His nature was kind, helpful, silly, ambitious, courageous, stubborn, relentless, supportive, and clever. Jonathan had two amazing gifts; He was an amazingly gifted technician, and He could make you smile on your worst of days. Jonathan’s dream was to be a Master Mechanic, like his father and grandfather before him. Born with a wrench in his hand, his love of all things with motors or gears was older than he was. Jonathan was driving the lawn tractor at the age of 6 and go-karts with his older brothers by the time he was 8. Anything that was broken he had to take apart, confident he could fix it - usually successfully – but always pushing himself to learn and pushing others to teach him. Whether it was boating at Boy Scout camp or snowmobiling in New Hampshire - any kind of transportation was his kind. He was truly the most gifted Technician you could have ever known. Jonathan lived every day, knowing that you can always improve yourself… and that anything is possible...

Our Company is dedicated to him, and everything that he embodied.

Every year JRBSC awards multiple scholarships to High School Seniors who show a gifted or intense interest in a career as an Automotive Technician. Applications require students to show a love of Mechanics, no failing classes, two recommendations, and an essay on how they resemble Jonathan’s spirit. The Awards are cash payouts, and can be used for tools, as well as Trade School, and College admissions. Please consider helping this great cause. Thank you, Ed & Stephanie Boughton.
